The University of Wyoming is a public land-grant research university in Laramie, Wyoming. It is ranked between "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity."
History
Four years before the territory was declared as the 44th state, it was established in March 1886, and classes began in September 1887.
Academics & Campus
The university consists of seven colleges, four residence halls, and four apartment complexes. Wyoming offers more than 120+ undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs. AACSB authorizes the College of Business at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 100+ business scholarships are granted yearly.

Athletics –Cowboys
The athletic teams compete at the NCAA Division I (FBS) as a member of the Mountain West Conference. They have been nicknamed the Cowboys and Cowgirls.
The Cowboys’ athletics program includes:
Women: basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
Men: basketball, cross-country, football, golf, swimming and diving, track and field, and wrestling.
The university has won 3 NCAA team national championships. Go Cowboys!
