What is the History of Worcester State University?

Founded as a teacher-training school in 1874, WSU was the fifth teacher-training college in the state. In 2010, Massachusetts granted Worcester State university status.

The Lancers participate in NCAA Division III and is a charter member of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.
