Westminster College is a private liberal arts college in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. In 2010, Forbes ranked the college first in the country as the Best College for Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

History

In 1852, the college was founded due to a meeting between the Ohio and Shenango Presbyteries. It is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

Academics & Campus

The campus is 300 acres and located 80 miles south of Erie and 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. Westminster College offers seven graduate programs, 13 pre-professional programs, and 42 majors. The student body is roughly 1,307 students.

The college is home to 80+ clubs and 18 honor societies, including three student publications and one alumni publication. There are five sororities: Zeta Tau Alpha, Sigma Kappa, Kappa Delta, Phi Mu, and Alpha Gamma Delta. There are four fraternities: Theta Chi, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Phi Kappa Tau, and Alpha Sigma Phi. At Westminster College, some of the notable alumni are Amy Marie Charles, Carlton Cole, David S. Cercone, Eric Burns, and Thomas C. Cochran.

Athletics -Griffins

The sports team is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

The Griffins athletic teams include:

Women: basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.

Men: baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, and track & field.

Over the next 100+ years, the football team has a record of 577-406-54. The Titans are one of only ten schools to record over 575 wins in school history. They have six national championship wins. Four former football players have been enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame. Go Blue & White!
