Utah State University (USU) is a public land-grant research university in Logan, Utah. The university is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. It is classified among R2: Doctoral Universities—High research activity.

History

In 1888, Utah founded an agricultural college that focused on science, engineering, agriculture, domestic arts, and more. The school was granted university status in 1957, and renamed Utah State University Agriculture and Applied Science (aka Utah State University).

Academics & Campus

Its campus is located in Logan, with regional campuses in Brigham City, Tooele, the Uintah Basin, and 28 other locations. USU operates 20+ distance education centers throughout Utah. The university has nine colleges and offers 159 undergraduate degrees, 83 master's degrees, and 41 doctoral degrees. There are nearly 20,000 students enrolled, making USU the largest public residential campus in the state. It also has the highest percentage of out-of-state students of any public university in Utah.

Athletics –Aggies

The sports teams compete in Division I of the NCAA as members of the Mountain West Conference.

The Aggies' athletic teams include:

Women: basketball, cross-country, gymnastics, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.

Men: basketball, cross-country, football, golf, tennis, and track and field.

The teams have won 37 conference championships, including 3 national championships. 90 student-athletes have been named All-American 134 times. Go Blue & White!
