In St. Cloud, Minnesota, St. Cloud State University (SCSU) is a public university and is one of the largest universities in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
History
In 1869, the university was opened as Third State Normal School. St. Cloud State became a university in 1975.
Academics & Campus
The campus consists of six colleges and schools; SCSU offers 200+ majors, 200+ minors, and pre-professional programs. In fall 2020, the enrollment was almost 16,000 students. The student body is encouraged to join over 250 student organizations.

Athletics –Huskies
The sports teams are a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
The Huskies’ athletic teams include:
Women: basketball, cross-country, hockey, Nordic ski, soccer, softball, swim and dive, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
Men: baseball, basketball, soccer, swim and dive, and wrestling.
The hockey team earned 19 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Championship appearances. The wrestling team won the NCAA Wrestling Championship five times. The women’s basketball team won the NSIC Championship in 2020, which was the second time in program history. Go Huskies!
