The main campus covers 77 acres and is located just west of the Schuylkill River in the University City district. It is Drexel's largest and oldest campus, serving as the main academic center for students. What is the history of Drexel University?

Established in 1891 by Anthony J. Drexel, a financier, and philanthropist, the university was intended to provide educational opportunities in the practical arts and sciences for women and men of all backgrounds. Which NCAA Sports do the Dragons Play?

The school's sports teams compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Colonial Athletic Association. Drexel's school mascot is a dragon named Mario the Magnificent.

The Dragons' athletic teams include:

Women: basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, softball, squash, swimming and diving, and tennis.

Men: basketball, golf, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, squash, swimming and diving, tennis, and wrestling.

The university has two National titles: the 1958 Dragons soccer team and the 2021 Drexel Dragons women's basketball team. The women's rifle team has won 5 national championships, and the karate team has won eleven National Collegiate Karate Association championships. Go Dragons!
