Bradley University is a private university in Peoria, Illinois. According to the 2020 U.S. News & World Report, it was ranked No. 4 among 162 Midwest Regional Universities.

History

Established in 1897, philanthropist Lydia Moss Bradley founded Bradley Polytechnic College in memory of her late spouse, Tobias, and their six children. The name Bradley University was adopted in 1946.

Academics & Campus

The 84-acre campus is located minutes from downtown and on the west bluff of Peoria. Within its five schools, Bradley offers 100+ undergraduate programs and 30+ graduate programs. It is authorized by the Higher Learning Commission. There are 5,400 students enrolled, and more than thirty percent of the student body are involved in fraternities and sororities.

Athletics –Braves

The sports teams participate in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Braves’ athletic teams include:

Women: basketball, cross-country, golf, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.

Men: baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, and track and field.

The men’s basketball team has appeared nine times in the NCAA Tournament. The baseball team advanced to the College World Series twice. Go Red & White!
