Babson College is a private business school in Wellesley, Massachusetts. In the 2014 Money Magazine rankings, it was rated first place among all U.S. colleges and universities.

History

In 1919, it was founded by Roger W. Babson as an all-male business institute. In 1969, it was converted into a four-year Bachelor of Science degree, and girls were admitted for the first time.

Academics & Campus

The main residential campus covers a 350-acre and is located in the "Babson Park" section of Wellesley, just fifteen miles west of Boston. Babson is connected in a three-college collaboration with Olin College and Wellesley College. The college also offers a study abroad program where 26 students can study in Russia, China, and India.

Since 1950, the programs at Babson have been accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the school is regionally accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. In 2019, 3,663 students attended Babson, 3,229 of whom were undergraduates. The student body represents 80+ countries.

Athletics –Beavers

The sports teams compete in the NCAA Division II as part of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.

The Beavers' athletic teams include:

Women: alpine skiing, basketball, cross-country, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, diving, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.

Men: alpine skiing, baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, diving, tennis, and track and field.

In 2017, the basketball team won the Division III National Championship. The men's hockey team has won one NCAA D3 National title, one ECAC D2 title, and six ECAC East Championships. In 2011, the golf team won the NECC title. Go Green & White!
